She has since then made several commissioned works for festivals, film and television, and for her solo projects and recordings. Her recent works Hárr and Mirra, have received widespread international acclaim, with Hárr earning the Nordic Music Prize in 2022, and Mirra beeing nominated for Norwegian Grammy (Spellemannprisen) in both the Open Class and Composer of the Year category.
Maurseth’s compositions are deeply rooted in her musical heritage, often featuring lyrical qualities, strong melodic focus, and minimalistic repetition combined with instant composition. Her resent works are influenced by ecosophy, and honours nature and species in her home region, using concrete sounds of reindeers and birds as a basis for her compositions. Her passion is to preserve a rich tradition trough constant variation and changes within the familiar. She is currently House Composer for KODE in Bergen, working on a new piece that will finalize a trilogy honouring the Hardanger fjord in her final work.
